How much work did I do today? How did I feel afterwards, and how ready am I to come back tomorrow and repeat?
This is a long game, and you win with consistency, not singular efforts.
There is nothing else that matters in the health and fitness game as much as consistency. This goes for performance training, health and longevity, and body composition goals through nourishment modifications.
Your focus should be around creating repeatable behaviors most of the time. You will need to revisit the questions here often. As we hit positive strides in our path of consistency, we are often tempted to push harder and longer than before. Next thing you know, you are doing things that are unsustainable.
Periodically we should push ourselves within tough singular efforts so we can learn, grow, and evolve. But get back to consistency quickly so you can win the long game.
