CrossFit St. Louis, partnered with area gyms, will host a Masters Throwdown on October 4, at 8:00 a.m. Anticipated event length is 4-5 hours, depending on the volume of team entries.

4 Person Team (2-men, 2-women) qualifications:
– 40+ Division – All team members must be 35 or over on October 4
– Team Average Age must be 40 (or more) for the team to qualify
– 47+ Division – All team members must be 42 or over on October 4
– Team Average Age must be 47 (or more) for the team to qualify
This is a 4 Event competition with 5 scores (event 1 has 2 scores). The events are as follows.
Event 1
In 10 Minutes, each team member must complete:
– Max Ground to Overhead lift (Any style, no squat requirement)
– Max Pull-ups (in 1 attempt with no max score)
– Max Double-unders (Most reps in 3 attempts with a max score of 60 DU’s)
Scoring
– 1st Score will be total weight successfully hoisted by all 4 team members summed
– 2nd Score will be total Pull-ups and DU’s achieved by all 4 team members summed
There is no scaling. Both age groups score on the same system.
Event 2
12 Minute AMRAP (with each athlete completing a full round before the next athlete can go, no partial rounds)
– 10 Burpee Lateral Bar Jumps
– 10 Overhead Squats (95#/65# – 75#/45#) (first pair is 40+, second pair is 47+)
Scoring: Rounds + Reps in last incomplete round
Event 3
Team members start in succession and cannot perform any movement until the athlete ahead of them has completed that movement:
– 30 Calorie Row
– 400M Run
– 40 Wall Balls (20#/14# – 20#/14#)
– 30 Abmat Butterfly Situps
– 20 Hand Release Push-ups. 47+ ladies can rest knees on the floor. All others must maintain plank.

Event 4
This is a team relay with each member fulfilling 1 leg of the 4 relay movements
– 800M Run
– 50 KBS (53#/35# – 35#/25#)
– 50 Slam Balls (50#/30# – 30#/15#)
– 50 Goblet Squats (53#/35# – 35#/25#)
Scoring: Elapsed time
Each score will be ranked first to last. Team with the lowest total score is the winner.
