-Why do you CrossFit?  

Crossfit pushes me 25% harder than I can do on my own and is much more engaging than just lifting and the gym or running.  While I do enjoy crossfit for its own sake, I appreciate the functional conditioning that complements my other hobbies, particularly backpacking and mountaineering. 

-Why do you choose CrossFit St. Louis?

Central location, encouraging coaches, classes throughout the day so I can get a workout most days despite working shifts. 

-What do you want to accomplish in CrossFit?

My primary goal is a level of fitness to complement my other outdoor activities in addition to the general health benefits (cardiovascular, good level of energy, positive self image). 

-What is your favorite movement and why?

Sntatches and clean and jerks – There is something satisfying about moving a barbell through a large range of motion. 

-What are your hobbies?

Backpacking, mountaineering, fly fishing, travel, woodworking, my family and general fitness.  I also have five chickens, I would recommend a WOD called Rocky, based on the scene from the movie where Stallone is training by catching a hen. Trying to grab a chicken in an open area is a difficult workout.  Rx+ for a rooster.

-Why do you CrossFit?

So I can eat unlimited amount of tacos! But really, I fell in love from the first ‘On Ramp’ class! I love competing against the clock and myself and pushing myself through every workout. There is no better feeling than finishing a WOD I spent the entire time questioning if I even could. The post workout endorphins are really where its at! Plus the feeling of accomplishment and bad ass, “like yes, girl you survived another one!” And not to mention, the coaches and community CrossFit StL has, I know while I am dying in a workout there are 10 people cheering me on.

-Why do you choose CrossFit St. Louis?

My co-worker who is an avid Crossfitter at the Chesterfield box was raving about it and I was at a point in my life where I needed to find a workout that I enjoyed ASAP. The St. Louis box is right by my work so there are no excuses. I immediately felt welcomed and apart of something huge! 

-What do you want to accomplish in CrossFit?

To be stronger than my sister! And live a long an healthy active life. 

-What is your favorite movement and why?

I love deadlift day! You either pick up the bar or you don’t. 

-What are your hobbies?

I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, concerts, and trying new restaurants.
