I initially started CrossFit for the normal reasons of wanting to get stronger while improving my overall health. The lessons I’ve gained go well beyond what I expected. It’s a place where you can lose yourself and find yourself at the same time. Every class has a sense of community, you learn everyone’s name and receive their encouragement which motivates you back to the gym more frequently. I’ve learn what I’m capable of and know there are always options for scaling where I feel less comfortable with a particular movement or weight. Everyday is a challenge that provides a sense of personal accomplishment which builds physical strength and confidence.
