Stacey’s training experience started during her junior year of high school as she began personal training in her pursuits of running cross country collegiately. She trained at the HITT Center while playing soccer, cross country and track and built strong relationships with her coaches. A young desire to teach and coach shifted in college when she began her Exercise Science program working in the Human Performance lab, personal training internships, and leading secondary education running classes.
Stacey’s early professional career began working with high school and collegiate athletes as she returned to the Lindenwood University (HITT Center) for an internship and then later Southern Illinois University Edwardsville as a full time graduate assistant of the Strength & Conditioning Department. Her passion for sport specific training shifted in 2015 as Stacey discovered her heart to help her athletes and clients find exercise programs they loved, that lasted and found results in.
Her training philosophy was shaped greatly by her Master’s degree (Sport Psychology). While she can get jazzed about ensuring you have the best deadlift technique, she’s equally passionate about discovering your inner talk, deconstructing the shame games we play in our messy relationships with food, and working together to find empowering and rewarding programs that will work for the long haul. Her clients know she cares deeply for their hearts, lives, relationships, goals, success, and long term health. Exercise is medicine!
When Stacey met her husband Matt in 2015, it didn’t take long for her to realize a future together would include CrossFit. After together acquiring their L1 in 2019 this power couple’s dream of deeply impacting lives through the CrossFit methodology grew and eventually culminated in stepping into leadership at CrossFit St. Louis in January of 2023. In her free time, Stacey enjoys hiking, chasing around her son and two dogs, gardening, baking, traveling to Denver, and assisting her estate planning clients at a local STL law firm.
